Description
The article discusses the monument to Ulrich II, the last princely count of Celje, that was set up in Belgrade. Ulrich was killed in 1456 in the fortress of Belgrade; to commemorate him, the Slovene diplomat Ivan Švegel gifted the statue Prayer by the Croatian sculptor Frano Kršinić to the Municipality of Belgrade in 1931. The statue was erected in the park Kalemegdan as a part of the monument to Ulrich
