Description
The main aim of the article was to determine, based on the analysis of documents obtained from the German Foreign Ministry political archives, whether, during the time when the death of President Tito was expected, the western allies perceived Yugoslavia as a potential source of security crisis in the world that was divided into two blocs. The research method used in the study is the analysis of documents from archives describing relations between Germany and Yugoslavia during the 1974–1982 period, when Helmut Schmidt served as Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany
