The undergraduate thesis treats the area of municipality Šmartno pri Litiji during the interwar period. Its starting part presents Šmartno pri Litiji before the described age and Slovenian population during the interwar period in general. In further parts it introduces different thematic chapters of the area of municipality Šmartno during the interwar period such as informations about extent, territorial changes and statistical data of municipality, political image, activities and development of municipality (elections at the state level, local elections, general political situation in municipality Šmartno, activities of municipality, municipal projects), economic and social image of Šmartno pri Litiji (lifestyle, ethos, effect of global events on Šmartno pri Litiji, natural disasters, economic situation, pubs, shops, small craft workshops, the tannery of Knaflič, Izgoršek`s factory for furniture and building material), the parish of Šmartno pri Litiji in this age (general informations about the parish in this age, works on church buildings, spiritual life in the parish of Šmartno, »Marijina druţba« – Mary company, constitution of parish Litija in 1936), schools (primary school in Šmartno pri Litiji, primary school in Velika Kostrevnica, craft continuation school in Šmartno pri Litiji, primary school in Javorje, civil school in Litija), »Prosvetno društvo« (Educational Society), »Sokoli« (Falcons), fire brigade in Šmartno pri Litiji and choral society »Zvon« (Bell).

      • Magistrsko delo obravnava območje občine Šmartno pri Litiji med obema svetovnima vojnama (1918–1941). V začetnem delu predstavi Šmartno pri Litiji pred obravnavanim obdobjem in Slovence med obema vojnama na splošno. V nadaljevanju predstavi različne tematske sklope o območju občine Šmartno med obema vojnama: podatki o obsegu, ozemeljskih spremembah občine ter statistični podatki o občini, politična podoba ter delovanje in razvoj občine (volitve na državni ravni, lokalne volitve, splošno politično stanje v šmarski občini, delovanje občine, občinski projekti), gospodarska in socialna podoba Šmartna pri Litiji (način življenja, običaji, Šmartno v luči širših dogodkov, naravne nesreče, gospodarsko stanje, gostilne, trgovine, manjše obrtne delavnice, usnjarna Knaflič, Tovarna pohištva in stavbnega materiala Izgoršek), župnija Šmartno pri Litiji v tem obdobju (splošni podatki o župniji v tem obdobju, dela na cerkvenih zgradbah, duhovno življenje v šmarski župniji, Marijina družba, ustanovitev župnije Litija leta 1936), šolstvo (osnovna šola v Šmartnem pri Litiji, osnovna šola v Veliki Kostrevnici, obrtna nadaljevalna šola v Šmartnem pri Litiji, osnovna šola v Javorju, meščanska šola v Litiji), Prosvetno društvo, Sokoli, gasilsko društvo v Šmartnem pri Litiji in pevsko društvo Zvon.
