Description
Among six million Jews killed in the holocaust, there were a million and a half children. Only a few thousand children survived. Jewish children came from different environments and the holocaust violently ended their childhood. Amongst them were also children of Slovenian Jews, especially those from the Prekmurje region, who lost their young lives in the camp of death - Auschwitz after numerous deportations in April 1944. Children's chances of survival were small, despite the fact that many of them were hiding to survive. After the war the surviving Jews tried to restart their lives again. And among them were thousands of orphans.
