Description

Indebtedness was a problem Slovene peasants had been plagued with throughout the second half of the 19th and the first decades of this century. The author describes the issue in terms of two periods and uses 1890 as the cut-off year marking the end of an economic crisis. In the first period characterized by the crisis the debt was very large, but the second period was that of gradual recovery coupled with a drop in the burden or at least a bearable debt.

      • Z dolgovi so se slovenski kmetje ubadali skozi drugo polovico devetnajstega in v prvih desetletjih dvajsetega stoletja. Avtor je ta proces razdelil v dve obdobji, pri čemer približno ločnico predstavlja leto 1890 oziroma konec gospodarske krize. V prvem obdobju so bili dolgovi kot posledica kriznih razmer veliki. V drugem obdobju pa se je z izboljšanjem gospodarskih razmer tudi dolžniško breme zmanjšalo, oziroma postalo znosno.
