Description
On the basis of German archive documents, the author presents the economic situation of the greater part of Upper Carnolia under German occupation. The occupier imposed a Germanic totalitarian regime and a war economy, controlling the distribution of raw materials, energy and labour, fixing maximum prices and introducing coupons for the distribution of goods to the public. Industrial production was reorientated to serve the needs of the army, and agriculture modernized to some extent while crafts, trade and tourism suffered regression under the occupation. By 1943, the planned economic reform failed due to the shortage of labour, construction material and finance required for modernization and new investments.

      • Avtor na podlagi nemških arhivskih dokumentov predstavlja gospodarstvo večjega dela Gorenjske v času nemške okupacije. Okupator je uvedel totalitarno nemško državno ureditev in vojno gospodarstvo z razdeljevanjem surovin, energije in delovnih moči, določil proizvodnjo, maksimiral cene in porabnikom razdeljeval blago na nakaznice. Industrijsko proizvodnjo je preusmeril za potrebe vojske, nekoliko moderniziral kmetijstvo, medtem ko so obrt, trgovina in turizem nazadovali. Napovedana gospodarska prenova je leta 1943 usahnila zaradi pomanjkanja delavcev, gradbenega materiala in denarja za modernizacijo in nove naložbe.
