Description
On a basis of reports in the papers Slovenec, Slovenski narod, Novice, Domovina, Zgodnja Danica and Sudsteirische Post, the author presents the responses to the aggravated discussion on financing parallel classes in the Celje gymnasium. This issue brought about the downfall of the Windischgraetz government and represented the turning point in Austrian domestic policy. The responses in newspapers varied according to their political orientation, but they all defended Slovenian demands and warned against ever increasing nationalistic German tendencies.

- Na osnovi poročil v časnikih Slovenec, Slovenski narod, Novice, Domovina, Zgodnja Danica in Südstreische Post predstavlja avtor odmeve ob zaostreni razpravi o financiranju gimnazijskih vzporednic v Celju. To je pripeljalo do padca Windischgraetzove vlade in pomeni prelomni trenutek v avstrijski notranji politiki. Odmevi v časopisih so bili glede na njihovo politično umeritev različni, vendar so vsi zagovarjali slovenske zahteve in opozarjali na vse bolj nacionalistična nemška stališča.
