The Socialist Alliance of the Working People of Slovenia and Yugoslavia was a socialpolitical organisation from 1953 do 1990, which politically differentiated and separately dealt with migrant workcrs and emigrants. For the both it was of opinion that different goals were necessary. In Slovenia, a number of institutions and organisations were active, which included in their programmes care for emigrants. At the Presidency of the Republic Conference of the Socialist alliance of the Working People, a Coordination committee was active that dealt with the problematic ofemigrants and emigration. The Socialist Alliance of the Working People of Slovenia was active in the field of interest uniting of our workers abroad, with the education of the children ofemigrants, with information-propaganda activities among emigrants, and as well dealt with the problematic of the activity of the Roman Catholic Church abroad.
