Description
It is argued in the article that Emona was never a camp of the 15th legion. Although some veterans were settled in the town, it cannot be considered a typical veteran colony. The arguments are based on the epigraphic evidence as well as on data from Greek and Latin (historical) literature and recently discovered archaeological sites and material.

      • V članku so zbrani vsi vojaški napisi Emone iz časa zgodnjega principata (pozno 1. st. pr. Kr. in prva polovica 1. st. po Kr.) ter podatki iz grških in latinskih literarnih del, ki osvetljujejo proces romanizacije v jugovzhodnem alpskem prostoru v istem obdobju. Upoštevani so tudi rezultati arheoloških raziskav. Zbrano in izvrednoteno gradivo ne dovoljuje sklepa, da bi bil v Emoni legijski tabor, vse kaže, da je bilo mesto civilna kolonija, v kateri je bilo naseljenih tudi nekaj veteranov.
