Dr. Anka Vidovič-Miklavčič was born on March 21,1936, in Radgona. In 1961 she graduated from history at Ljubljana Faculty of Arts and in 1964 she was employed at the then Institute for History of Workers' Movement - the present Institute for Modern History. In the beginning, she mostly took up documentation tasks, in the last decades, however, she concentrated completely on researches. Her two books on the railworkers in the frame of Slovenian Resistance movement and on the youth movement in the time between the World Wars are fundamental for studying thoroughly this problematics. Lately, she has been researching also into peasantry movement, to which her recently published treatises were dedicated.
