Description
On the basis of newspaper and other sources, the author analyses standpoints of Slovene political parties referring to the agrarian reform from the end of the first world war until the beginning of the second. The agrarian reform, as demanded by all the parties, was aimed mostly against large estates, the fundamental demand being, however, the land should belong to those, cultivating it. All the parties had similar views on the need of carrying out the agrarian reform, however, there were also differences e.g. concerning expropriation of the land belonging to the Church. At the beginning of the period, the agrarian reform meant one of the key themes for all parties in their socio-political programmes, later on, however, the interest and strivings decreased by all of them, but the communist party.
