The third number of the 49th yearbook of Zgodovinski Časopis — Historical Review (ZČ) is the hundredth volume of this central Slovene historical review, coming out in Ljubljana since 1947. The oldest ZČ predecessors in Ljubljana were Mitteilungen des Historischen Vereins für Krain, which started to be published on January 1st, 1846, almost a century and a half ago; up to 1868, 215 small volumes came out. Other historical periodicals in Ljubljana were: Jahreshefte (1856, 1858, 1862), Mitteilungen des Musealsvereins für Krain (1866, 1889-1907), Izvestja Muzejskega društva za Kranjsko (1891-1909), Carniola (1908-1919), and Glasnik Muzejskega društva za Slovenijo (1919-1945).
The first 21 yearbooks of ZČ had only 16 volumes, since 1968 the review came out twice a year, since 1977 three times, in 1979, however, for the first time, 4 volumes were published, since 1987 this has become constant practice.

- Tretja številka 49. letnika Zgodovinskega časopisa (ZČ) je že stoti zvezek te osrednje slovenske historične revije, ki v Ljubljani izhaja od leta 1947. Najstarejši predhodnik ZČ v Ljubljani so bile Mitteilungen des Historischen Vereins für Krain, ki so pričele izhajati pred poldrugim stoletjem 1. januarja 1846; do 1868 je izšlo 215 drobnih zvezkov. Ostala zgodovinska periodika v Ljubljani je bila: Jahreshefte (1856, 1858, 1862), Mitteilungen des Musealsvereins für Krain (1866, 1889-1907), Izvestja Muzejskega društva za Kranjsko (1891-1909), Carniola (1908-19) ter Glasnik Muzejskega društva za Slovenijo (1919-1945). Prvih 21 letnikov ZČ je imelo le 16 zvezkov, od 1968 je revija izhajala dvakrat letno, od 1977 trikrat, 1979 so prvič izšli štirje zvezki, z letom 1987 pa je to postala stalna praksa.
