Description
Among newspapers which were started in the countries with Slovene population in 1848, was also the weekly Sloveniens Blatt. lt was issued in Novo mesto by a circle of revolution supporters in the second half of the year. Because of terminological difficulties it was published in German, however, it stood for Slovene interests. Its specialty and value was in its distinctly middleclass and liberal orientation.

      • Med časopisi, ki so leta 1848 začeli izhajati v deželah s slovenskim prebivalstvom, je tudi tednik Sioveniens Blatt. Izdajal ga je v Novem mestu krog pristašev revolucije v drugi polovici leta. Zaradi terminoloških težav piscev je izhajal v nemškem jeziku, zagovarjal pa je slovenske interese. Njegova posebnost je v tem, ker je izrazito meščansko in liberalno usmerjen.
