Description
In his treatise the author analyses the viewpoints of a Slovene intellectual referring to Germans and German culture, as reflecting through the best Slovene literature from the Age of Enlightenment until approximately 1900. He states the development from cooperation (looking upon German culture as the second culture of a Slovene intellectual) up to the state of complete separation and even hostility against everything being German as consequences of German nationalistic oppression of Slovenes.

- Razprava opazuje pogled slovenskega inteligenta na Nemce in nemško kulturo, kakor se kaže skozi vrhunsko slovensko literaturo od razsvetljenstva do okoli leta 1900. Ugotavlja razvoj od kooperacije (razumevanje nemške kulture kot druge kulture slovenskega razumnika) do popolne ločitve in celo sovražnosti do vsega nemškega kot posledice nemškonacionalističnega pritiska na Slovence.
