Description
The contribution is based on the data of the archives, kept by the Historical Archives Ljubljana. The author tries to present some essential features of the daily residence of higher middle classes on the example of the villadom, which grew up in the Ljubljana Capuchin suburb, especially after the destructive earthquake in Ljubljana in 1895. At researching the history of residence conditions the appurtenance to different social starta was decisive, whereas the ethnic adherence (a German or a Slovene) has never played any special role at studying this history.

      • Prispevek temelji na podatkih arhivskega gradiva, ki ga hrani Zgodovinski arhiv Ljubljana. Avtor predstavlja nekatere bistvene poteze bivanjskega vsakdanjika višjih meščanskih slojev na primeru naselja vil, ki je, zlasti po velikem potresu v Ljubljani leta 1895, zraslo v ljubljankskem Kapucinskem predmestju. V okviru opazovanja zgodovine bivanjskih razmerje igrala odločilno vlogo pripadnost različim socialnim slojem, medtem ko etnična pripadnost (Nemec ali Slovenec) pri opazovanju te zgodovine ni nikoli igrala posebne vloge.
