Description
V. F. Klun was the central personality of the Historical Society for Carniola in the years 1851 — 1856, directing also its activities. In Mittheilungen his articles on historiography, literary history, statistics and topography of Carniola were published. He was publishing also in other reviews ali over Austria and even in Russia. He gained great merits with sources collecting and publishing (Dipiomatarium Carnolicum and Archiv). His moving to Switzerland and later to Vienna the Historical Society for Carniola felt as a great loss.

      • Osrednja osebnost in usmerjevalec dela Historičnega društva za Kranjsko je bil v letih 1851 — 1856 V. F. Klun. V Mittheilungen so objavljeni njegovi članki o zgodovinopisju ter o literarni zgodovini, statistiki in topografiji Kranjske. Objavljal je tudi v revijah širom Avstrije in celo v Rusiji. Velike zasluge si je pridobil z zbiranjem in objavljanjem virov (Dipiomatarium Carniolicum in Archiv). Njegovo preselitev v Švico in kasneje na Dunaj je Historično društvo za Kranjsko občutilo kot veliko izgubo.
