Description
The author has presented ali the extant epigraphical evidence about the local Emonian goddess Aecorna and reached the conclusion that she fits well into the Pantheon of local North-Adriatic female deities. She is distinguished by the other goddesses by the greater impact she exercised upon the local inhabitants. This is indicated both by the fact that her worship survived well into the Roman period, and by the fact that the number of dedications to her (erected by persons of every social position) is relatively great.
