Description
As an answer to the Slovene open air meetings movement the German Constitutionalist Party in Lower Styria organized in 1869 three open air countermeetings — constitutional days (on May 30th 1869 in Slovenska Bistrica, on August 8th 1869 in Celje and on September 5th 1869 in Radvanje by Maribor) which, however, according to their echo and the number of participants, were by far not equal to the Slovene ones. Those countermeetings made it pretty clear that the German Constitutinalist Party in Lower Styria had no wider social support for the politics being in contradiction with the interests of the Slovene nation.
