Description
The lords of Devin/Duino have up till now been known in historiography in the first place as great vassals of Aquileian patriarchs. But as one can see from the society in which they moved and from the mentionings in the sources, they also served as ministrants to the counts of Gorica/ Gorizia. An especially significant funetion was carried out by Hugo III of Devin/Duino (1297-1328), who was the head of Gorizia county.

- Gospodje iz Devina/Duino so bili v zgodovinopisju doslej poznani predvsem kot veliki vazali oglejskih patriarhov. Toda, kot je razvidno iz kroga, v katerem so se gibali in iz omemb v virih, so bili tudi ministeriali goriških grofov. Še posebno pomembno vlogo je imel Hugo III. iz Devina (1297—1328), ki je bil glavar goriške grofije.
