At the monthly meetings of the Historical Society for Carniola in the years 1856-1861 historical, literary-historical philological and ethnological topies were discussed, and the reviews on historical literature and newly found sources were presented. The monthly meetings were attended by a large audience in the time of neoabsolutism.
