The author considers the new contents concept of the lessons in history at school and states that the lessons in history should be put on completely new grounds after ali political changes in Slovenia, Yugoslavia and Europe in 1990. Historical lessons should be at last set free of ideological forms and conceived in such a way that they would be open to the most various aspects. According to the author it is possible to begin discussions on the basis which professor Bogo Grafenauer and his collaborators have already suggested at the end of the seventies. Historical lessons at school should follow the most up-to-date historiographic trends and orient from the surface, events-political level to the presentation of »the vvorld and man in the time and place«.
