The "Centre" of Carinthian Slovenes during the National Liberation War

Description
Although among the Carinthian Slovenes during the war statistically the »Centre« with the theory of waiting and surviving prevailed we have very few testifies and almost no archival materials; thus it has no been historiographically processed. There was no collaboration with the German nacism among the Carinthian Slovenes neither did the counter-revolution exceed the level of »planning« groups and assistants in periodical antipartisan actions of the Ljubljana white guards /belogardisti and home-guard/ domobranci emissaries. The Carinthian »Green cadre« began to join the partisans from summer 1942 on. From autumn 1943 the OF (Slovenian Liberation front) progressively acquired the pre-vvar leaders of Carinthian Slovenes. The most evident expression of the activity of the »Centre« is the »Carinthian Declaration« from summer 1944.

      • Čeprav je statistično tudi med koroškimi Slovenci prevladovala v vojnem času »sredina« s teorijo čakanja in preživetja, o tej skupini nimamo veliko spominskih pričevanj in ne arhivskega gradiva, tako da historiografsko ni bila obdelana. Kolaborantstva z nemškim nacizmom med koroškimi Slovenci ni bilo, prav tako kontrarevolucija ni presegla razvojne stopnje »načrtovalskih« skupinic ter pomočnikov pri občasnih protipartizanskih akcijah ljubljanskih belogardističnih oz. domobranskih emisarjev. Koroški »zeleni kader« se je od poletja 1942 počasi priključeval partizanom. Od jeseni 1943 je OF postopoma pridobivala tudi predvojne voditelje koroških Slovencev. Najbolj viden izraz delovanja sredine je »Koroška deklaracija« iz poletja 1944.
