Description
The author presents the life and work of France Filipič (born on 21st of July in Maribor), historian, publisher, writer, editor etc. In detail he presented Filipič's researches into the revolutionary labour movement and the national liberation war. His major historical works are: Chapters from the Revolutionary Struggle of the Yugoslav Communists 1919—1939, and the Pohorje Battalion. In numerous treaties and articles he — vvith new sources, particularly from Commintern records — enlightened the development and activlty of communist organlsations and progressive movements in Slovenia and Yugoslavia.

- Avtor je prikazal življenje in delo Franceta Filipiča (rojenega 21. 7. 1919 v Mariboru), zgodovinarja, publicista, muzealca, literata in urednika. Podrobneje je osvetlil zlasti njegovo raziskovalno delo na področju revolucionarnega delavskega gibanja in narodnoosvobodilnega boja. Njegovi glavni zgodovinopisni deli sta Poglavja iz revolucionarnega boja jugoslovanskih komunistov 1919—1939 in Pohorski bataljon. V številnih razpravah in člankih je z novimi viri, zlasti iz fonda Kominterne, osvetlil razvoj in delovanje komunističnih organizacij ter naprednih gibanj v Sloveniji in Jugoslaviji.
