Description
The author shows on basis of the preserved correspondence the views of Marko Vincenc Lipold upon the revolution 1848 and the motives which brought him to various stand-points. He estimates Lipold's views were identical with the ones of the majority of the Slovene middle-class who looked forward to the fall of absolutism but were afraid of the continuatlon of the revolution and were thus satisfied with limited concessions from the governments side.

      • Avtor na podlagi ohranjene korespondence prikaže poglede Marka Vincenca Lipolda na revolucijo 1848 in motive, ki so ga pripeljali do takšnih ali drugačnih stališč. Ob tem ugotavlja, da sodijo Lipoldova razmišljanja v kontekst večinskega gledanja slovenskega meščanstva, ki se sicer veseli padca absolutizma ter ustavnih in drugih pravic, vendar se boji nadaljevanja revolucije in se zadovoljuje s skromnimi koncesijami z vladne strani.
