Ferdo Hauptmann vvas born on 11th may 1919 in Fürstenfeld, died on 20 th october 1987 in Graz. He studied history in Zagreb, took his doctoral degree in Graz. From 1953 he was professor for history of the modern world at the university in Sarajevo. From 1970 he was professor for the history of South-East Europe at the university in Graz. His main occupation were the Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian history in 19th century, economic, foreign policy problems, and publishing sources.

      • Ferdo Hauptmann se je rodil 11. maja 1919 v Fürstenfeldu, umrl je 20. oktobra 1987 v Gradcu. Zgodovino je študiral v Zagrebu, doktoriral je v Gradcu. Od leta 1953 je bil profesor za občo zgodovino novega veka na univerzi v Sarajevu. Od leta 1970 je bil profesor za zgodovino jugovzhodne Evrope na univerzi v Gradcu. Ukvarjal se je predvsem s hrvaško, srbsko in bosansko zgodovino 19. stoletja, gospodarskimi, zunanjepolitičnimi problemi in izdajo virov.
