The author shows the problem of relation in the culture of Slovenes towards other Yugoslav nations. The subject was discussed on the meetings of the Cultural Department of the National Council in Ljubljana, managed by Oton Zupančič. They prepared a statement which was signed by all present, and later cancelled by the liberal participants; thus the public announcement estimated the circumstances merely by political and not by original Slovene cultural position (the Italian occupation of parts of Slovene and Croatian territory also had influence in that respect).
The contribution brings beside records of both meetings (16th and 13th november) a comment and other documentation on mentioned events.
