Description
On the basis of archive and, especially, newspaper material and literature, the author presents important events which took place in the Slovenske Konjice district between 1929 and 1941. Its administrative arrangement is outlined, and the population figures and economic situation shown. The main focus is on the presentation of political life: party, farmers', cultural, educational and youth organisations and associations pertaining to both political camps, liberal and Catholic. Particular attention is given to the electoral campaigns and results of the 1931, 1935 and 1938 parliamentary elections and the 1933 municipal elections, all of which revealed sharp political and ideological differences and passions in both camps.

      • Na osnovi arhivskega, predvsem pa časopisnega gradiva ter literature predstavlja avtorica pomembnejše dogodke v okraju Slovenske Konjice v letih 1929-1941. Oriše upravno ureditev in prikaže številčno stanje prebivalstva ter gospodarske razmere, glavni poudarek pa je na predstavitvi političnega življenje; predstavlja strankarske, kmečko-stanovske, kulturnoprosvetne, mladinske organizacije in društva obeh političnih taborov, liberalnega in katoliškega. Posebej obravnava volilne kampanje in izide skupščinskih (1931, 1935, 1938) in občinskih volitev (1933), ob katerih so se posebej razkrivala ostra politična in idejna nasprotja ter se kazale politične strasti enega in drugega idejno-političnega tabora.
