Description
In his Survey of historiography of the Slovene West Border Territory the author separately treats the Slovene and the Italian historiography. He draws attention to several differences between them, especially to the numerically superior Italian works in the field in comparison with Slovene. He gives attention to all institutions that publish their periodicals in Italy. It is noticable that Italian historiography is gradually loosening the old ideological and political frames and acquainting with new methodological aspects.

- Avtor pri pregledu zgodovinopisja ob slovenski zahodni meji posebej obdela slovensko in italijansko historiografijo. Opozarja na vrsto razlik med obema, zlasti pa na številčnost italijanskih del v primerjavi s slovenskimi. Posebej se ustavi ob vseh institucijah, ki izdajajo svoja glasila na italijanskem. Opažati je, da se sosednja historiografija počasi osvobaja starih ideoloških in kulturnopolitičnih okvirjev ter se počasi polašča novih metodoloških prijemov.
