Description
A special province Gorizia County developed from the dynastic territory of the Gorizia landgraves along the middle stream of the river Soča and on the Karst. It separated from the Friuli county and Aquilean Patriarchate and attained independence. This process based on the feuds and allodia of the Gorizia landgraves and especially on the rights they had as defenders of the Aquilean Church. With systematic and successful policy (1210 Gorizia market-town, 1234 road regalia, 1365 state princes) they founded in the course of time a special province with their own administration, jurisprudence, aristocracy and states.

      • Posebna dežela Goriška grofija se je razvila iz dinastičnega teritorija goriških grofov ob srednji Soči in na Krasu ter se izdvojila in osamosvojila iz furlanske grofije in oglejskega patriarhata. Temelj temu procesu predstavljajo fevdi in alodi goriških grofov in zlasti pravice, ki so jih imeli kot odvetniki oglejske cerkve. Na tej podlagi so z načrtno in uspešno politiko (1210 Gorica trg, 1234 cestni regal, 1365 državni knezi) v teku časa izoblikovali posebno deželo s svojo upravo, pravom, plemstvom in stanovi.
