Description
With conclusion of peace in Požarevac in 1718 Austria won Banat, Mala Vlaška and Serbia as far as Timok. The most convenient way of reaching the new territories were the rivers Sava and Ljubljanica where the regulation works were conducted by the commission, formed in 1736. In 1766 a special patent regulated the traffic by the river Sava, which increased until 1776, but then decreased, so that the up till then navigation regime was abolished in 1778. This and the new economic policy of Joseph II led to abolishment of the navigation direction in 1781.

Malo Vlaško in Srbijo do Timoka. To in nova ekonomska politika Jožefa II. sta vzrok ukinitve navigacijske direkcije 1781.
