The documentary basis of the book written by R. Unkart — G. Glantsehnig — A. Ogris "Zur Lage der Slowenen in Kärnten", Klagenfurt 1984 is limited only to the period 1971 —1983, whereas all the other published material has been mostly selected so that it confirms the political thesis of the Carinthian provincial diet according to which Austria performs her duties in accordance with the State Treaty of 1955. The author of the present recension gives an extensive concrete critisism of the German historical mithology that the authors of the book used to justify the division of Carinthia into four election districts (with great German majority), thus consciously preventing the Slovenes to appear successfully in political life. In the appendix there is the statistical documentation referring to the germanizational violence already before 1914. in the old Austria-Hungary.
