The article that was written on the occasion of the 60th birthday of Dr. Janko Pleterski (born on February 1st, 1923 in Maribor) is about his work and significance. He dedicated his work mostly to the problems of the Carinthian Slovenes, to the national question, to the role of the Slovenes and their political decisions before and during the First World war. His contribution to the critical historical judgement of the Slovene history is thus significant. The article is followed by the chronologically arranged bibliography of the works, written by J. Pleterski, which, however, doesn't list the articles, published in the dailies (especially in the years 1952—1954).
