A survey of foreign historical literature, acquired in 1976 by the »Narodna in univerzitetna knjižnica« (National una University Library), by the library of the educational-scientific unit for history at the Faculty of Arts, by the library of the »Slovenska akademija znanosti in umetnosti« (Slovene Academy of Arts and Sciences), by the library of the »Inštitut za narodnostna vprašanja« (Institute for Ethnic Problems), by the library of the »Inštitut za zgodovino delavskega gibanja« (Institute for the History of Workers' Movement), is composed in the same way as in previous years. Literature is arranged according to countries or groups of countries or according to nations, and it is headed by the group »General Works«. In cases when the groups are large, the groups are subdivided according to various periods or according to some other aspeets. In this year's survey the bibliographical deseription is partly new (ISBD), and partly it is still the same as it used to be in previous years. At the end of each description the abbreviation of the library, where the book is to be found, is given, as well as the call number of the book in a particular library.
