Description
Migrations from Dalmatia to Italy — mainly migrations of the Slavs to the Marks are treated here — are only a part of the total process of migrations from the western Yugoslav countries into Italy. The climax was achieved in the 15th and 16th centuries and urban as well as rural inhabitants were included, who migrated from economic and other reasons. Until the stream of migration was high, the Slavs have remained for centuries after the period discussed especially in those regions where the density of populations was high.

- Migracije iz Dalmacije v Italijo (avtor obravnava predvsem doseljevanje Slovanov v Marke) so le del celotnega procesa doseljevanja iz zahodnih jugoslovanskih dežel v Italijo. Višek dosežejo v 15. in 16. stoletju in so zajele mestno in podeželsko prebivalstvo, ki se seli iz gospodarskih in drugih vzrokov. Dokler je bil tok migracij močnejši, so se Slovani zlasti tam, kjer je bila njihova naseljenost številnejša, ohranjali stoletja dolgo še prek obravnavanega obdobja.
