Description
On the occasion of one hundred years since the rudiments of the Slovene scientific historiography, which has been developing uninterruptedly since 1880, the author at first gives a characterization of the historiographic work and the rudiments of its being organized in the 19th century untill the break between the dilletantism and science. Further the author quotes the main historiographers, initiators of the break, and analyses the principal characteristics of their activity (concerning the expert orientation towards the critical analysis of the sources and their publicity, the assertion of the Slovene historical conception and of the Slovene language by the treatment of the Slovene history and place, as well as the transition as to the contsnts of their scientific interests from the political to the cultural, economic and social history, and to the problems of every day life of the population in the towns and especially in the country).

- Ob stoletnici začetkov slovenskega znanstvenega zgodovinopisja, čigar odtlej ne več pretrgani razvoj se začenja okrog 1880, podaja avtor najprej označbo zgodovinarskega dela in začetkov njegove organizacije v 19. stoletju do tega preloma med diletantizmom in znanostjo; nato navaja glavne zgodovinarje, ki so tvorci tega preloma in analizira poglavitne značilnosti dela teh zgodovinarjev približno do leta 1900 (glede strokovne usmerjenosti v kritični pretres virov in njihovo objavljanje, uveljavljanja slovenske zgodovinske koncepcije in slovenskega jezika pri obravnavanju zgodovine Slovencev in slovenskega prostora ter vsebinski prehod njihovih znanstvenih interesov od politične h kulturni, gospodarski in družbeni zgodovini ter vprašanjem vsakdanjega življenja mestnega in zlasti podeželskega prebivalstva).
