Description
The author gives a survey of the socio-democratic workers' movement in Maribor — on the basis of data, kept in the archives and newspapers which haven't been considered yet. The period until the foundation of the party is given summarily, whereas the period 1890—1914 more in detail. The author concentrates his attention above all upon the development of the socialist movement from the political point of view, whereas he deseribes the movement as regards the strikes, elections and syndicates only in general features. The author pays attention to the relation of the German national movement to the Slovene in Maribor, which reflected in the workers'.

      • Avtor na podlagi doslej neupoštevanih arhivskih in časopisnih virov podaja pregled socialdemokratskega delavskega gibanja v Mariboru. Začetno obdobje do ustanovitve stranke je podano sumarno, čas od 1890 do 1914 pa podrobneje, pri čemer je težišče na političnem razvoju socialističnega gibanja, stavkovna, volilna in sindikalna dejavnost pa je orisana samo v splošnih potezah. Pozornost je posvečena tudi razmerju med nemškim in slovenskim nacionalnim momentom v Mariboru, ki se je odrazil tudi v delavski stranki.
