The author speaks about the possibility of a scientific review serving to teachers of history at their work at schools. The Historical Review is a means of individual education a factor uniting historians in the S. R. of Slovenia in the organizational aspect, as well as an additional means of instruction for teaching history. A closer link should be established between investigations of history and history taught at schools. National history is valuable for individual study and also when conerete questions are discussed (and illustrated) at schools. The Historical Review should also deal with current questions concerning the didacties of history and questions related to organizational aspects of teaching history. The editorial board should act in a more systematic way so that articles published would acquire a higher degree of methodological applicability. The author also speaks about the diversity of material and he also makes suggestions for the possibility of active methods in certain spheres of themes.
