The author presents a survey of the vvorkers' movement in individual historical provinces, vvhere the Slovenes lived. He is looking for common characteristics and differences in the vvorkers' movement of these provinces. He calls the reader's attention to the change in economic policy and social legislature. After the establishment of a legal political party in 1889 the vvorkers' movement is very much strengthened in all Slovene provinces, and it becomes in fact the third party in the political life.
