A survey of problems concerning the former Venezia Giulia, or rather, great endeavours for creation of the United Slovenia in the period between 1947—1934, is written on the basis of extensive native and foreign sources. In the first chapter the writer of this article presented mainly diplomatic struggles for Venezia Giulia from the middle of 1944 until the Paris peace treaty was signed in February 1947, in the second chapter the slress is laid on the deseriptiou of a eompromising, temporary solution of creation of the Free Territory of Trieste, whieh never really became alive, and in the last chapter the author presents the steps made until the London agreement in October 1954. This Memorandum signifies the victory of the Yugoslav nations in this respect that they became free from the tutorship of super-powers and achieved the right to solve the question of the westem border directly with Italy.
