Founded as late as the end of the 1990s, the Slovenian Chamber of Execulors is a very young institution. It was established as an outcome of the new regulatin of execution proceeding in the Republic of Slovenia. Execution and Insurance Act determines the rules of the proceedings according to which the courts carry out compulsory execution of claims based on executory title and authentic documents. The Act also delermines the rules for the securing of claims and regulates the service of the executor. Executors in the Republic of Slovenia are under the obligation to join the Chamber of Executors situated in Ljubljana. As archivists, we need to focus on preserving documents for which we assum will unveil important areas of social life dealing with people's distress, mostly poverty.
