Economic policy in Slovenia in between 1918-1941 enabled rapid development of industry,
crafts, trade and services. Slovene enterprises achieved great development. Favourable
conditions for the development of industry and other economic activities
were also created by businessmen through their professional corporations, and by
other factors. They fostered economic policy which would enable the protection of the
Slovene national economy, the accumulation of capital, its nationalisation at the
beginning, and the possibility of foreign investment by founding new enterprises and
modernising old ones.
