Description
The article deals with legal regulations which governed the activities of lawyers, their methods of work, education, wealth, the activities' they did beside their profession, and the professional associations in which they organised in the period 1918-1941. The archives in Slovenia keep a lot of records concerned with lawyers, but they are kept in various files. Thus, the archivists and the users should be well acquainted with their work, particularly because the lawyers played an important role in public life in all periods.

      • Prispevek obravnava zakonske predpise, ki so urejali odvetniško dejavnost, način njihovega dela, izobrazbo, gmotno stanje, dejavnosti, ki so jih opravljali poleg svojega poklica in organizacijske oblike njihovega združevanja v obdobju 1918-1941. Slovenski arhivi hranijo precej arhivskega gradiva, ki govori o odvetnikih, a se nahaja v okviru različnih fondov. Zato je poznavanje njihovega dela pomembno tako za arhiviste kot za uporabnike, še posebej zaradi tega. ker so predstavniki tega poklica v različnih obdobjih bolj ali manj odločilno vplivali tudi na družbeno življenje v širšem smislu.
