In the last decade before World War II. the rales governing court proceedings
pertaining to criminal offences were set in Slovenia by the Law on Judicial Criminal
Proceedings, passed in 1929. The law came into force in 1930. and was. with only
slight changes, implemented until the beginning of the war.
In the second decade of the First Yugoslavia, a completely new criminal law was
administered which finally united and homogenised six. up until then, different legal
fields. The knowledge of these rules is ofparamount importance in the arrangement of
archival materials of courts.
