Opis

Uršulinski samostan v Ljubljani, ki je bil ustanovljen leta 1702, je bil vedno v stikih z drugimi uršulinskimi samostani v srednji Evropi in Rimu. Povezanost z njimi izpričuje korespondenca. Prva leta obstoja samostana je bilo treba določiti redovne navade v skladu z uršulinsko duhovnostjo in tradicijo. Izmenjava izkušenj in osebja se je dogajala tudi na vzgojno-izobraževalnem področju. Živahna korespondenca je potekala tudi v času procesa za beatifikacijo in kanonizacijo ustanoviteljice uršulink Angele Merici.

      • The Company of St. Ursula was founded in Brescia by Angela Merici in 1535. In the 17the century the original Company of St. Ursula became the Order with strictly monastically regulated Ursuline monasteries that despite being autonomous were closely connected to each other. Ursulines came to Ljubljana in 1702. It is evident from preserved correspondence and other documents they were in contact mainly with the monasteries on the territory of Austrian monarchy and to Ursulines in Rome. Their connection was reflected in the same charisma and loyalty towards their founder, it was based on the same rules and constitutions, in the same spiritual orientation, preservation of the same customs, the same educational system. It was maintained and strengthened by letters, reports of important events concerning a monastery or the whole Ursuline order, and especially during the process of beatification and canonization of their founder Angela Merici.
