SIstory Portal Disclaimer
The contents of SIstory portal follow these basic rules:
The collections under publication derive from and include contents from the History of Slovenia, i.e. the history of the Slovene territory under the title, History of Slovenia.
- Various contents from history and humanities are published which use historical method and comply with professional standards.
- They are aimed at research and the study of history and pertinent fields.
- Primary and secondary sources are published, as well as complete collections of sources and sources with commentaries, instruments and historical literature.
- Professional literature is being published which is either more difficult to access or which the authors themselves decide to publish in e-form.
- Within its capabilities, it provides English translations of said materials in order to promote the visibility and recognition of the Republic of Slovenia as well as the field of history.
SIstory portal:
- states clearly who creates it, edits it and is responsible for it
- publishes only verified contents and guarantees their authenticity
- it takes no responsibility for authors' statements and document contents, their publication does not imply their approval or sharing
- guarantees that all published sources match the originals in the archive or document collections kept by authorised institutions
- it accomplishes the principle of the science of history to provide public access to its scientific, professional and educational achievements
- it allows public and free access, though user registration is recommended
- it is a project under construction which will grow steadily over the coming years
