V pričujočem prispevku je predstavljena zgodovina imenja in dvorca Turn pod Rajhenburgom v zgodnjem novem veku. Ohranjeno arhivsko gradivo omogoča dokaj natančen vpogled v vsakokratne lastnike imenja, in sicer člane plemiških rodbin Rajhenburških, Gradenegg, Langenmantel, Reisig, Heister, Wintershoffen in Attems, ter v obseg in spremembo pripadajočih rustikalnih in dominikalnih posesti.
This contribution explains the history of the small seigneury and the manor Turn pod Rajhenburgom in the Early Modern Period. The preserved archival material offers an in-depth look into its owners, that is the members of the noble families Reichenburg, Gradenegg, Langenmantel, Reisig, Wintershoffen, Heister, and Attems. It also provides information about the size and the proprietorial changes of its dominical and rustical property.
The small seigneury Turn pod Rajhenburgom remained in the property of the noble family Reichenburg until the end of the Middle Ages, that is until 1498, when it was acquired by nobleman John Gradenegg. John was followed by his son Christoph, the latter also by his son Francis. Francis, who was given the title of baron in 1558, sold the seigneury in 1569 to nobleman John Reinpreht Reichenburg for 4000 goldinars. Reichenburg died a year later. As he was the last of his descent, Turn pod Rajhenburgom was inherited by the noble family Langenmantel. The sons and daughters of Adam Langenmantel were great-great-grandsons/ daughters of Magdalena Reichenburg and therefore Reichenburg's lawful heirs. The seigneury remained in the property of this family until 1643, when it was given by Mary Salome Langenmantel to her spouse Christoph Reisig. After his death in 1658 his wife did not marry again but led a solitary life at the manor Turn pod Rajhenburgom. When she died, her son Francis Ernest paid off other heirs, and became the sole owner of the seigneury. During his ownership, between 1689 and 1697, an earthquake hit the area damaging the manor and many peasants’ dwellings. In his last will Francis appointed his son Joseph Daniel as his lawful heir. He died in 1697. Because his son at that time was not old enough to inherit his father's properties, Joseph Felix, brother of Francis, was appointed as his guardian. The latter soon sold the seigneury to Hannibal Joseph count Heister. Heister started selling parts of the seigneury and soon stopped paying taxes for it. As a result, Turn pod Rajhenburgom was seized and then in 1707 given in pawn to baron Joseph Jacob Wintershoffen. He was followed by count Attems, who bought the small seigneury in 1721 and merged it with his neighbouring seigneury Rajhenburg.
