ERA - European Resistance Archive is a platform for introducing the resistance from various perspectives, and simultaneously allows comparison of individual national specifics. It was established on the basis of video interviews and testimonies of the active resistance participants from different European geographical regions. ERA is about passing down historical memory and the experience of older generations to the younger population. Various forms of resistance movements emerge through personal stories in video interviews conducted by young people aged 15 to 25 years.
The aim and objective of the European Resistance Archive is to preserve historical memory and facilitate the understanding of European history as well as modern Europe by younger generations. They need to know that the resistance against Nazism and Fascism played not only a relevant but an essential role in the formation of today's united Europe.
